===FEATURE===
The MCDU is an important aspect of auto pilot planning with an Airbus and ideally should be added to the streamdeck profile in order to remove yet another aspect of having to use keyboard and mouse in running the aircraft. All the appropriate keys from the mcdu are in the dataref library and as such can be used especially on a 32 Streamdeck XL to a very good flow.
Software used
I'm not really convinced this will work nicely on a Stream Deck. I'll have a look at it again, but no promises.
I have used a similar on MSFS FENIX A320 and it was ok for me , yes you have to go into some things with an extra page to input say a waypoint but most of the time it is pressing the arrows and the buttons 1 to 6 on the side of the MCDU left and Right. I suppose it is one of those things that is like MARMITE . I see it as a way to have to use the mouse and keybord and be that more realistic to some degree as I would be close to flying without having to use keyboard or mouse
Could you add a photo or screenshot of what that would look like, please?
The other thing is the trade off of how much work one would need to do to get it working against how often you would use it. Of course many things are done via Simbrief nowadays and hand inputting a flight plan from start to finish is something not that many do now so the use of a clicking a button for say LSK1 left key 1 is no more than having to position the mouse on that key and click it
What I dislike is that there are more softkeys than vertical keys on the Stream Deck. So that would look quite ugly from the start...
I will post some screenshots in the next day or so of what I have created but it would be something like this
you get the numbers page
and then the letters page
at the moment i am just using the fonts and blank buttons that you have in the current layouts to keep a bit of likeness throughout
Thanks for the screenshots. I'll see if I can add this later on. For now I'll be focussing on the Zibo.
I will finish it for myself and then send the profiles etc to you as then most of the work assigning keys etc will be done . I am also looking at having the background and font as per airbus colors if I can get those details so it looks more airbus like
I'll keep this one open, so I can keep track of it.
I appreciate your plans to send your work to me, but at the moment I'm not looking for additions to this profile.
